Frederik Hellmann

Biography

Frederik Hellmann (1963) is a highly experienced mariner who completed his studies at the Hogere Zeevaartschool in Amsterdam (1990-1993), qualifying as a master mariner. His career began in 1982, starting as an AB with Sylvia Cargo, and later advancing to second and first mate positions with Smit-Lloyd and Wijnne & Barends, gaining experience with supply and merchant navy vessels. Frederik also took a Dynamic Position Officer course in 1992 while working for Smit International, where he participated in heavy lift and diving operations. In 1993, he joined Van Oord, working as a captain and superintendent in rock placement and cable laying operations. Since 2006, Frederik has been involved in the offshore wind industry, managing various projects as a Project and Construction Manager. In addition to his technical and operational expertise, Frederik recently completed his Hogere Veiligheids Kunde (HVK) course.
